In this month's newsletter you'll find the latest news of our Caedium RANS Flow add-on development, background on our new newsletter email delivery system and, of course, the latest blog posts since our previous newsletter.
Ready for another Caedium RANS Flow add-on progress report? Well here you go - read on for my monthly report on the highly anticipated next Caedium release. Also I'm back on schedule with my blog posts, adding one a week.
Another month, another progress report on our Caedium RANS Flow add-on. I know - it's taking longer than I anticipated, but it will be worth the wait. Also this month I've posted a new poll, created a Symscape Facebook page and added 3 new blog posts.
Another busy month here at Symscape - is there any other kind? The highlight was the first public demonstration of the next version of Caedium incorporating our new RANS Flow add-on at the Fourth OpenFOAM Workshop. Since our last newsletter we've also added a new article, a new tip and a new blog post to our website. Keep reading for the low down on all the action.
Cyclone Flow Simulation: Solving the RANS equations
As a teaser for the first public showing of our new Caedium RANS Flow add-on I can share a preview slide from the presentation you can see in full at the Fourth OpenFOAM Workshop. Also since our previous newsletter you'll find a couple of new tips, we were featured in the Racecar Engineering blog, I've added a new blog post and I've started a Twitter feed.
The big news here at Symscape is that I will be presenting a paper based on the Caedium RANS Flow add-on at the Fourth OpenFOAM Workshop. Also you may have already noticed, but we've changed the name of our next add-on from Caedium Open Flow to Caedium RANS Flow to better reflect the methodology it will use.
Hope you are ready for spring, I know I am. It's been a long, cold winter here in New Hampshire. Anyway the Symscape newsletter is here with some spring cheer, including the latest Caedium RANS Flow add-on progress, a new tip for clipping a view and my latest blog post.
It's Symscape newsletter time again, is it just me or does it seem to arrive faster with each passing month? You're right, it's probably just me! As you'll see below we have more Caedium RANS Flow add-on progress to report. You'll also find an update to our tools tutorial and a couple of new blog posts.
Time is certainly flying, 2009 is already here and our Caedium RANS Flow add-on is steadily gaining capabilities ready for its release. In our latest sneak peek image below you can see a low-speed (incompressible) airflow simulation around the YF-17 (F18 prototype) imported as an OpenFOAM case. Also since our previous newsletter we've added some extra website content that is summarized below.
The Caedium RANS Flow add-on development continues; this month we completed support for natural convection for heat transfer with buoyancy and compressible flow. For a sneak peek at a buoyancy-driven flow see the image below. We've also added a new tip on our website for the Accuracy tool and discussed how Computer-Aided Engineering analysis tools relate to product design.
