Problem: Solver Singularity

Warning:
flow volume [www.45494.5] RANS Flow: Failed
Solver singularity: GAMG: Solving for p, Initial residual = 0.00281943, Final residual = 1.#QNAN, No Iterations 100

What should I infer from this error. Whenever I try to run the solver this error pops up.

Meshing went on fine with out any errors.

Thanks in advance.

this is another error

Warning:

Solver singularity: smoothSolver: Solving for epsilon, Initial residual = -1.#IND, Final residual = 1.#QNAN, No Iterations 100

Try FAQ diagnostics

Could be a number of things. Try working through the diagnostics for the FAQ "How do I fix mesh and solver failures?"

Have you successfully completed any of the RANS Flow tutorials?

yes i have completed the

yes i have completed the first rans flow tutorial.

also went throught he mesh and solver failurebut did could not eliminate the error.

I am trying to simulate an internal flow through a pipe with a fraction of a core in it. I bascially subtract the core volume from the pipe to get my flow volume. I followed the same procedure for a cone in a pipe and the simulation was successful.

I have a feeling the problem is with the geometry . Just wondering how to troubleshoot this as the meshing works fine with out any errors.

Check mesh quality

Did you check the mesh quality? Specifically the sections "Face Mesh Quality" and "Volume Mesh Quality" in the FAQ "How do I fix mesh and solver failures?".

Did you try using the Accuracy tool to improve the mesh?
