CAEDIUM on Windows HPC Server 2008 R2

Hello,

I'm trying to test parallel function of CAEDIUM. All parameters are configured as on line documentation but run fail with this message :

"Warning:
RANS Flow failed
Unexpected process exit.
Aucune connexion n'a pu être établie car l'ordinateur cible l'a expressément refusée 127.0.0.1:5800"

Of course my firewall is deactivated.

Any idea ?

Windows HPC Server Errors

Another idea, suggested by a contact at Microsoft - try running the Tests->System->MPI Performance tests (e.g., MPI Ping-Pong: Latency) under the Diagnostics group in the HPC Cluster Manager.

No connection could be made...

Translates to "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"

I have not seen this error before. My guess is that it has something to do with the setup of your WIndows HPC Server.

So I'd just check again your settings with "Microsoft Windows HPC Server 2008 Cluster Configuration."

Some ideas:

  • Try launching a test MPI case (not Caedium) using the HPC Cluster Manager - make sure you enter your user id and password and have it remember them
  • Try running Caedium with administrator privileges
  • Does Caedium work with the Parallel preference = Shared Memory?

Final option would be to try "Windows HPC (High Performance Computing) Forums" or the French equivalent.
