Dark background for easier localization of small entities

I have trouble locating small entities like slivers when I debug my mesh.

Perhaps it would be easer to see a small bright spot on a dark background?

Now I struggle seeing small dark faces or lines on white background when I try to pinpoint what is making trouble in my mesh.

Keyboard shortcuts for view orientation

When making 3D geometry it is nice to go directly to views parallel to X, Y or Z axis to verify that the position is correct. I do this very often in my 3D CAD software. I use these six shortcuts all the time to select the X, Y or Z axes and the direction plus a FIT ALL IN VIEW:

CTRL+T = Top view
CTRL+B = Bottom view
CTRL+L = Left view
CTRL+R = Right view
CTRL+F = Front View

Caedium ver 5 is very nice but I struggle sometimes with finding out which properties fields have predefined options.

Is Caedium v4 supporting for 3Dconnexion 3D mouse? It would be a tremendous benefit in pre/post processing manual operations. Thanks.

Edit: Caedium v5 on Windows has 3Dconnexion support.

Please add support for 3Dconnexion (spaceball, spacepilot etc) 3D mouse

In my view your CFD offering including tutorials give excellent value for money and really lowers the bar for us CFD newcomers. Your GUI gives OPENfoam what it really needs - a much more userfriendly environment including intuitive preprocessing, thanks!

Hej Guys,

Awesome software, incredible display, however I wasnt able to do one simulation because:
is there a way to move, rotate, scale objects? I coulndt find it...
My test wing always landed outside of the simulation volume..

idea:
better hireachy sytem, every object should have separate trees etc.
Maybe just look into some general 3d app, 3dsmax, or cinema4d and take that system.

Scripting Language for Caedium

The addition of a scripting language to Caedium would add tremendous functionality and ease of use. Many major CAE codes such as Abaqus (Python), FLUENT (Text Menu System) and STAR-CCM+ (Java) use scripting in conjunction with journal files created during an interactive session.

On-Demand HPC for Caedium Users

It seems a natural extension for Symscape would be to offer on-demand HPC services to Caedium users. Others (e.g., www.sabalcore.com) now offer compute time on HPC platforms, but having this available through Symscape would assure that software related issues would be minimal and that the focus would be on Caedium users.

cygwin / bash environment setup

It would be nice if OpenFlow shipped with environment variable scripts for cygwin bash as well as the existing .bat files for cmd... the windows command shell is a real hog if you're used to something more capable. Here's what I'm using:

scripting

It would be a great idea to add scripting support. In this way it would easier to setup cases that requires repetitive inputs and also it would be possible to run parametric studies.

It would be a good idea to add surface and wake flow-field data for the panel solver. Also, on-body and off-body streamline trajectories would be a good addition.

I think it would be a good idea to add support for arbitrary motions for the panel flow solver.
Also it could be a good addition to add support to export the solution files to vtk or tecplot format.
