View Manipulation and Picking Problems

After repeatedly zooming in and/or out in a Caedium view window there is a chance that the accuracy of subsequent picking can become inaccurate. This is caused by small positional errors accumulating during view manipulation. If you experience this problem then reset the view window by using the 'Fit All' icon on the Caedium toolbar or trigger the operation by using Interaction->Fit All. To avoid this problem try to zoom to a location in as few operations as possible.

When using the view manipulation controls (spin/pan/zoom) the initial left mouse click fixes the pivot point by attempting to snap onto the nearest visible geometry (e.g., an edge, a face). When no geometry is within range the current focus point is used as the pivot point sometimes leading to unexpected results.
